Hello!

Hello everyone!
I'm James, a doctoral candidate in Human Development at Harvard and a Vice Chair of the Harvard Graduate Humanist Community, where I work closely with Greg Epstein at the Harvard Humanist Chaplaincy. I'm also a member of the American Humanist Association's LGBT Council.
Pleasure to meet you all - I look forward to getting to know these forums better.
Best,
James

I believe that it is better to tell the truth than a lie. I believe it is better to be free than to be a slave. And I believe it is better to know than to be ignorant.- H.L. Mencken

Nice to meet you James. I hope you enjoy your time here. I should warn you however that quite a few members of this site including myself still hold a grudge with Epstein for actions from the past. Some of the reasons are laid out here: http://www.brianflemming.org/archives/002576.html Just thought you should know, maybe you can avoid rehashing that argument and instead try to focus on the many things we agree on.

Welcome James...
I know not of this "Harvard" you speak of... but I am assuming that it's some sort of trade school?... Regardless, some of the concepts presented here might be a tad difficult to comprehend, so should you ever need an explanation, or any of the large words defined, just ask...

Welcome to the forum.
Our revels now are ended. These our actors, | As I foretold you, were all spirits, and | Are melted into air, into thin air; | And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, | The cloud-capped towers, the gorgeous palaces, | The solemn temples, the great globe itself, - Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve, | And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, | Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff | As dreams are made on, and our little life | Is rounded with a sleep. - Shakespeare

Hmmm, I didn't see this in august but nice to meet you even though you haven't been back since posting.
If all the Christians who have called other Christians " not really a Christian " were to vanish, there'd be no Christians left.
Then that's all there is to say about that...
