Any other atheist forums?

What other atheist forums do you go to or know of?

I want to get more perspective from the atheist movement besides this site.

There aren't many good ones

There aren't many good ones (that is, active and not cliquey)

The myspace atheists and agnostics group used to be good (I don't know if it is now)- you might check it out.

The Dawkins one had a shake up and has probably largely died now.

He's back, for the moment...

(Does anyone else need further evidence of how much of an introvert that I am?)

“A meritocratic society is one in which inequalities of wealth and social position solely reflect the unequal distribution of merit or skills amongst human beings, or are based upon factors beyond human control, for example luck or chance. Such a society is socially just because individuals are judged not by their gender, the colour of their skin or their religion, but according to their talents and willingness to work, or on what Martin Luther King called 'the content of their character'. By extension, social equality is unjust because it treats unequal individuals equally.” "Political Ideologies" by Andrew Heywood (2003)

I'm going to actively echo this one -especially the latter part. If you want to be able to express your ideas freely (or you want to read from others who are able to do the same), the website can't be clique oriented. Cliques, when in charge of soapboxes and messageboards, tend to censor anyone who bursts their bubble.

I've had the misfortune and ignorance to post at a few clique-dominated websites over the years. The results were rarely-if-ever pretty, in terms of how mods handled dissenting posters.

RDN is undergoing a reformat, but it's hardly inert or "died".  If I had to guess -and considering how little I know regarding the people behind RDN, it's more of a shot-in-the-dark-  but I'm convinced that the head haunchos over there are still brain storming what form the new website should take, as to be less mob-rule'd  and geared more towards productive discussion.

Hi Captain - try this one.

The Dawkins people mostly went here: http://rationalia.com/forum/

I'm not sure what it's like there in terms of content.

I recently made a page there. It seems to be similair to FB but sloppier in it's format. There are some pages setup for discussion but I'm lazy and haven't looked into it much. Pretty much the moment I joined I was invited to join a discussion page but I haven't discussed anything as of yet.

edit: and the forum here seems to be slow as of late

But there is probably lots of sand there.

Infidel guy seems to be

Infidel guy seems to be blocked in China.  Ergo, out of curiosity, I registered.

I'm curious to see if any of these sites are as good as RRS.
