Would an extra $1000 make a difference…

… in your monthly income [your budget; even $500; once off, or monthly, whichever the argument]?
It would in mine, for sure! I would get a new computer... oh, oh, oh!
Got one for my wife the other day, and now I'm so jealous.
[I was told minimum salary in some European countries like Portugal is around 500 Euros; it's worse here in South Africa.]

The more religion threatens me the less I believe!

With the new 1% tax to subsidise the useless SABC which will no doubt get passed you are god dam right i could use it. As you know $1000 is quite a nice sum of money over here

Yes, you're absolutely right. SABC is useless; very seldom watch anything on it [I have DSTV]! Just paid my [forced] licence last Saturday, nevertheless, money I regret having to waste!
[I'm politically neutral, anyway.]

It would pay my rent. In three to four months I'd be debt free, and wouldn't need it anymore. Though certainly it would still help, and I can't say I'd turn it down.
