Thanks for posting this - I don't remember seeing the PSA's but we didn't watch much TV in small town Iowa growing up
Here is an article from Free Republic (they cite this article) giving a time line of sorts to the 1976 scare. I don't see any sources cited in the original article so take it for what it is, still interesting.
Is this part of the stimulus package for the pharms? hehehe

Thanks for posting this PSA. I would add "Thank You Renee for putting up those links,and as bad as the scare was back in 1976,the article says that the Dr.s were right to start the inoculation shots,even though it killed more people than the flu did ?
Was it a bird flu strain that was the cause of 20 million deaths in 1918 ? check it out news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2005/10/1005_051005_bird_flu.html By the way,I was watching Keith Olberman tonight and his guest Melissa Harris-Lacewell said that she thought that it would be the heart of this country that saves us from stupidity . Well maybe !
