Atheist Music

I was listening to some music the other day and I noticed a lot of the bands I listen to have blatantly atheistic lyrics.

Comatose - Chimaira
Fucking Hostile - Pantera
Born of a Broken Man - Rage Against the Machine

Those are a couple. I was wondering if anyone else knew of some bands that are using their art to spread the good word.

Actually for Slayer, Tom is a Catholic.  Kerry writes a good deal of their lyrics and is atheistic tho.

As for Greydon?  Well that's a big ol' can of worms around here...

Ya.....

I know Tom is a Catholic, I doubt very seriously he goes to mass though.  I was listing it for their music, which is absolutely not religious.  My personal favorite is Jihad..........  LOVE IT.

Early Slayer is great, more

Early Slayer is great, more recent stuff.. not as much.

It seems funny, to me, I have to always recommend the most obvious one in these threads....but...

I have to agree and disagree

I love Slayer.  Long time fan and I like it all....   The early stuff is indeed great.  When Dave Lombardo left their music changed, a lot.  I still like it but not as much as say Seasons, Reign in Blood or Hell Awaits.  It was ten years without Dave, but when he came back....WOW.  I know this is all subjective and everyone is entitled to their opinion but I think Christ Illusion is on par with ANY previous album.  I love the new album, every song...  I hope they put another one out with same or similar tone.  I can't believe that it has been two years already since it came out.  Eyes Of The Insane came on my Ipod today(I have it on perma shuffle) and I was super stoked!

Wow

Sorry I brought it up. I had no idea. I've never met Brian or even had any sort of conversation with him on here, but from his post it's obvious that he's a good person and wouldn't have done anything to merrit treatment of that kind. I hope Greydon gets what he deserves. Wether it be a helping hand or a foot in the ass. I don't know Greydon either, so I'm not going to even venture a guess as to which he should receive.
