Introducing i.p.
Hi everyone,
I've been a lurker on the forums for some time now, and as I posted my first real comment, I thought that I might as well tell about myself...
I live in the decadent Old Europe and when forced label myself as Secular Humanist.
I think that I can best sum up my beliefs and consequently my life like this:
Was raised lutheran
Pascal made me a theist
Paine made me a deist
Darwin made me an agnostic
Rand made me an atheist
Dawkins made me a militant atheist
Ingersoll made me a Secular Humanist.
There are of course many more influences, but those are the ones that I keep returning to and from whom I draw much of my inspiration and support.
So hello to you all and be seeing,
i.p.

Welcome to the forums.
Welcome!
Don't feel bad, Pascal makes alot of people believers.Only afterwards do you see how silly that particualr wager is..
Psalm 14:1 "the fool hath said in his heart there is a God"-From a 1763 misprinted edition of the bible
Argument from Sadism: Theist presents argument in a wall of text with no punctuation and wrong spelling. Atheist cannot read and is forced to concede.
Welcome!

Yes, I'm a he or a she...
And my home is Finland... The land of Boozers, Nightless Night and Nokia.
Indeed... I'll never gamble with anything in my life.
Unfortunately no... Though I've been called a Freely Thinking Bastard (creatively translated, that is.). Does that count?
It is good to feel welcomed... to the hizzle.
I thought someone would go there.
Hi i.p.! Nice to meet you.

IP is a guy. That's why he bolded the word "he".

A man of mystery.
Reveals just enough to get our interest then leaves us hanging.

Odd name don't you think?
Seriously, I think it's his initials because of his response to my first post.

"I" is a very rare first initial for men....
Actually, the first thing I thought of when I saw i.p. was intellectual property. Then I wished I would've thought of using that as a nickname, but I bet it wouldn't fit the textbox.

Thanksies to all.
i.p. is my initials...
Male names beginning with an i are pretty common... in the non-english speaking world.
And I'm one of them. Without needing to check my pants... You a have naughtynaughty mind, don't you? Captain, Sir?
mrjonno: On the surface it might appear that we all have 2 atheists (I wish), but then we have our evangelicals, mormons, jehovas... and of course we have this.
I really didn't expect my initials to gather so much fascination. I thought it would be:
In many ways I know what you're thinking, but I must protest! Whatever she was, she certainly was not 'lame'.
