Excellent stuff! I like to call it Christmas as our celebration draws from many classic cultural traditions, Christianity included.

I proudly no longer endorse using the word "Christmas."

I view it as a beacon for Christianity. Easter and Christmas are Christianities version of a lighthouse, reminding us all that it exists as it permeates every ounce of society you can see it even if you're very far away. I look forward to calling this Christmas, "Present Day."

"Present Day" was created this year in my head, using a more honest view of the world. "Present Day" is a day when all the cool and nice parents in the world buy a bunch of really nice presents for the kids that they love. They get to explain to their kids that these presents are a direct result of their hard work and a reminder that we as parents want our children to be happy. This includes an attempt at making them feel normal in a society where normal is someone who has an imaginary friend.

We won't use the word CHRISTmas... it's become a brainwashing tool, and it's no longer welcome in my home.

"I'm a sap, I'm too nice a guy. I'm giving Bob what I consider to be some real nice access to my channels. I put him on for an hour, and what happens when you're a nice guy, you get stepped on. I'm a little too loose with people criticizing me because it's interesting." - Howard Stern
