Our new advertising campaign (donate)
Submitted by Sapient on November 19, 2007 - 2:49am.
A while back we asked for some help raising money for advertising, and we managed to bring in $480. Originally this $480 was going to go directly to one specific site however due to multiple factors we've decided to dish out the money through google ads around the web instead. We're very proud and happy to have ads running on some of the sites we're currently on. Furthermore there are several atheist orgs and sites that we like to support and have ensured our ads would be weighted heavier on those sites (helping both RRS and a friend site at the same time). The site owner generally retains about 78% of the ad revenue, so your donation to this category is really going a long way!! You should start to see an influx of highly intelligent people as well from varying areas from psychology, biology, evolution, cosmology, physics, and more. While most of the campaign is aimed at people who would agree with us who can become part of our efforts, we are also running an in your face ad on a few Christian sites (this has been very limited):

We've spent over $1,300 on ads. Please donate more to keep the train moving!
We know through research that grass roots activists like yourselves like to know exactly where your money is going, and so we hope this advertising project will be one way for you to help us over the long term anytime you want to throw a few dollars towards boosting site traffic.
If you would like to donate $1,000 or more specifically to this project, and would like your donation
As of Jan of 2008 the Rational Response Squad has the highest Alexa Rank of any atheist website in the world. As of Feb 25th, the Rational Response Squad is ranked #1 atheist website in the world on a 3 month average. It's also about the 3,000th most popular website in the United States of America which is several thousand places better than it's nearest atheist counterpart.

"I basically subscribed after I checked out that thread that Sapient posted on expenses and the like. Groceries are one of the most important items, so I'm hoping I'm helping there and I'm hoping I help Sapient break even. If I can help stop him from dipping into the retirement fund, I'll be happy." - The Sarge
