“A meritocratic society is one in which inequalities of wealth and social position solely reflect the unequal distribution of merit or skills amongst human beings, or are based upon factors beyond human control, for example luck or chance. Such a society is socially just because individuals are judged not by their gender, the colour of their skin or their religion, but according to their talents and willingness to work, or on what Martin Luther King called 'the content of their character'. By extension, social equality is unjust because it treats unequal individuals equally.” "Political Ideologies" by Andrew Heywood (2003)

Serious question, Answers

Why are some of the prominent RRS'ers easily provoked? It seems that the self-proclaimed "pragmatists" aren't all that pragmatic....

It would be cool if some of the other mods were thicker skinned like yourself! (and myself, of course)

Y'know... sometimes I think.... "let intentional assclowns eat cake while they can" is what's needed in RRS moderation. Or a majority of RRS posts, for that matter...

Your answer is poetic

In what manner, may I ask?

Nevermind all of that...

I'm simply saying "pay no attention to the assholes, numbnuts, fuckwits, and idiots.... UNLESS THEY GRAB AT YOUR ATTENTION"

I'll use myself as a not-so-hypothetical example

LMAO. Like asking for a troll label?

Sorry. That grabs attention because one can never be sure how far an asshole, numbnut, fuckwit, or idiot will go to achieve their ideal.

The worst part... dealing with people of that ilk takes time away from... not having to deal with people of  that ilk.

Why are you bothering me again with your ridiculous, BANAL commentary?

Is it impossible that you are  a "person of that ilk"? To wit:

Why are you projecting some of your personal faults on to me? Are you *TRULY* that inane?

Protip: your posts shouldn't be so full of logical faults, irrationalities and INCONSISTENCIES when personally attacking me. Doltx10

No. You're... interesting.

I was just wondering why you sometimes go all nutso and ask for shit like a troll label and what-not.

First time I've approached you about it. Just curious.

You seem to get defensive when people ask you simple questions like that one.

"You seem to get defensive"

Hey Botany Bay prisoner... LOOK OVER THERE! SHINY! (Or are you from NZ? I forget sometimes- but I believe it's somewhere in Oceania, regardless)

actually, the only thing that makes me "defensive", as you call it, is the company of complete idiots. This includes yourself, and a certain moderator/Kiss fan of Connecticut whenever he feels his usual urge to make driveby posts; INCLUDING, but not limited to, fucking redundant image macroes of Vincent Diesel.

He isn't even considered an RRS core, and it isn't too hard to see *WHY*!

(his remaining intellect leaves quite a bit to be desired, unfortunately. Old, bald-headed 40+ curmudgeon that he is)

You on the other hand, are somewhat amusing yourself, but your rhetorical capacity and passive-aggressive behavior sometimes fails to impress - I believe I've got you beat in BOTH regards. You're welcome to prove me wrong, though!

It's like I said, folks -I honestly feel like 'Lore' when dealing with certain RRS'ers - it could probably be argued it makes me twitchy just like him(!) as well, scheming of ways to deal with inferior minds and THEN watching said minds stumble over their own words!

"Humans- remarkable little animals they are! But unfortunately for them - they're all too predictable!" *face twitching*

Should I take this as a

Should I take this as a "Yes. I get defensive when people ask me why I go 'nutso'?"

You decry the lack of substantive content on the RRS website when I haven't seen any posts from you worthy of mention. Perhaps you can provide me with a link to something I missed that may prove me to be incorrect in that assessment.
