I couldn't agree with this

I couldn't agree with this guy more.  As much as I want to see scientology go down, I couldn't bring myself to support anything in the current wave against it due to how it's being performed.  (Warning: MASSIVE strawman ahead) Anonymous are just a bunch of script kiddies with no clue on how the world works, little understanding of consequence, and no clue when it comes to courtesy.  Rude, obnoxious, over inflated ego's.  I'd be embarrased to have any association with them so I won't take part in any rallies or give them and their actions any endorsement.  I agree with the ends, but the means are just wrong.

Organised religion is the ultimate form of blasphemy.

  The mother of anonymous

The mother of anonymous responds.

Hello Anonymous, we are your mother.

Please get your feet off the couch. Have you even looked for a job today? Did you clean your ferret cage like we asked you? Before taking down the Church of Scientology, how about taking out the garbage? We have watched you living in our basement well past your twenties. Hitting on your sister's high school friends. Borrowing the minivan and leaving it on empty. And what is this $49.99 charge for Sinful Entertainment that keeps showing up on our Mastercard? It's not like we haven't tried. Have you been using the ProActiv we bought you? Did you read the brochures we left you from Apex technical school? We and your stepfathers have decided you must move out.

We are your mother.

We are not your maid.

Nice strawman there. Didja make that yourself? :P

Are you saying that protesting is wrong or the DDoSes? Yes, the DDoDes were dumb. The claimed purpose was to get the CoS's attention, but I think there were some better routes for that.

Anyway, I think the protest down in D.C. went swimingly, with not a single bit of violence and a rather low meme index. People were polite and cool. And it was nice to see people doing something about a percived problem in real life.

I agree qith Mr. Bunker

I agree qith Mr. Bunker 100%. This is what I was trying to say to those who were voicing their support for Anonymous in one of the forum threads on this topic. Good video.

Out of clay.

The DDoS's and the overall attitude of those who claim to be part of "anonymous".  The protesting is fine.

I agree, there definitely are better routes.  Ones that aren't so immature and childish.

I think most people would agree that peaceful protest is a good thing.  I don't think that's why Mark Bunker and the mom of anonymous spoke up.

I know. DDoSes are childish. Thankfully, they've knocked that off and gotten on with the actually useful task of organizing events.

I'm just trying to spread the word that the protests went well so that people have more current information on the goings on. This thread wasn't started until after the protests were underway for the East Coast and finished in much of the world.

The reason people are speaking up against anonymous and refusing to go to their events even though they we all share a common enemy in scientology goes back further.  Here's a news report on anonymous from last year.
